Ozone: a useful gas or a strong poison?

Most people associate ozone with ozonation or sterilization. But the reality is that ozone is very harmful in large amounts. It is an inorganic substance composed of three oxygen atoms with strong oxidizing properties. Due to these properties, it is classified as an extremely hazardous substance. Its permissible exposure limit (PEL) in the air of the working area is 0.1 mg / m³.
